Jack, Barbara Nicklaus tested positive for coronavirus in March
Jack Nicklaus and his wife, Barbara, tested positive for the coronavirus in early March, he revealed during the final-round broadcast of the Memorial Tournament.
Jack admitted he got sick while Barbara was asymptomatic.
"I had a sore throat and cough. It didn't last very long. We were very, very fortunate," Nicklaus said.
Both Jack and Barbara celebrated their 80th birthday earlier this year.
"Both of us are 80 years old, it's an at-risk age," he continued. "We were a couple of the lucky ones, so we feel very strong about trying to work with the people who are working with those who are taking care of those who have COVID-19."
Nicklaus said they both had coronavirus until April 20 and then quarantined in Florida for another month, according to Golf Channel's Ryan Lavner.
The couple have both tested positive for the coronavirus antibody since.
