Tiger falls out of contention in Round 2 of BMW Championship
Tiger Woods fell further down the leaderboard at the BMW Championship after carding a 5-over 75 in Round 2.
Woods began Friday's round within striking distance but looked timid on the greens and was unable to get anything going. He lost over two strokes to the field with his flat stick before dropping a 36-foot par putt on his final hole. He also ranks last in the field for putting inside 10 feet, according to the 15th Club's Justin Ray.
The lone bright spot so far is Tiger's iron play. He ranks 11th in strokes gained: approach and is inside the top 10 in greens in regular through 36 holes.
In total, Woods made two birdies, five bogeys, and a double-bogey Friday.
He sits nine strokes behind the leaders, Rory McIlroy and Patrick Cantlay, heading into the weekend.
