Dustin Johnson and Hideki Matsuyama sit at 1-under par to share a two-shot lead following Round 3 of the BMW Championship.

The leaders are the only two players under par for the week at Olympia Fields, as the scoring average in Round 3 was over par - 71.39 to be exact - for the third straight day.

Both Johnson - who won The Northern Trust last week at 30-under - and Matsuyama shot rounds of 69 on Saturday. The duo played in the penultimate pairing for Round 3 and will be together again for Sunday's finale.

Here's how the top of the leaderboard stands with one round remaining:

Place Player To Par R3 Score
T1 Hideki Matsuyama -1 69
T1 Dustin Johnson -1 69
T3 Joaquin Niemann +1 68
T3 Mackenzie Hughes +1 69
T3 Adam Scott +1 70
T6 Jon Rahm +2 66
T6 Sebastian Munoz +2 67
T6 Kevin Kisner +2 70
T6 Bubba Watson +2 70
T6 Brendon Todd +2 71
T6 Rory McIlroy +2 73

Rory McIlroy (2-over) and Patrick Cantlay (4-over) made up the final pairing in Round 3 as the 36-hole co-leaders but struggled to keep pace with Johnson and Matsuyama. McIlroy posted a 73 while Cantlay made no birdies and five bogeys en route to a 75.

Adam Scott, Joaquin Niemann, and Canadian Mackenzie Hughes are the closest chasers to the leaders. All three started the week outside of the top 30 on the FedEx Cup points list but have played themselves into a position for next week's Tour Championship.

Tiger Woods' struggles continued Saturday. He carded a 2-over 72 during easier scoring conditions in the morning. He was cruising at 1-under until a late triple-bogey ruined his round.
