It will be a little harder to make the weekend at Augusta National moving forward.
The Masters has revised the cut rule to only the low 50 players and ties beginning with the 2020 edition, it announced Monday.
This is the first change to the cut rule since 2013. The rule previously stated that the low 50 players and ties or any player within 10 shots of the lead - regardless of their standing on the leaderboard - made the cut.
Prior to then, the low 44 players and ties or anyone within 10 strokes of the leader advanced, which was the case for 52 years.
