DeChambeau, caddie Tim Tucker taking break
Bryson DeChambeau and caddie Tim Tucker are taking a break from working with each other, the world No. 6 confirmed to ESPN's Michael Collins on Thursday.
DeChambeau said that Tucker did not quit, but the two will spend some time apart. How long the split will last remains to be seen.
Tucker caddied for DeChambeau in practice rounds leading up to this week's Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit. With Tucker out, Cobra Golf representative Ben Schomin is on DeChambeau's bag for the tournament.
Brooks Koepka, who's publicly feuded with DeChambeau all season, seemingly offered his take on the news via Twitter.
Couldn’t do it without my guy Rick! Best friend and greatest caddie to do it💯 @RickyElliott appreciation day! pic.twitter.com/cNvD2VX8Nh

DeChambeau had Tucker on his bag for all eight of his PGA TOUR victories. The duo took a break in 2017 as well, ultimately reuniting the following year.
