The stage is officially set for the upcoming FedEx Cup Playoffs.

After the conclusion of the Wyndham Championship on Sunday, the PGA TOUR's top-125 ranked players will now compete in The Northern Trust next week.

Justin Rose narrowly missed the cut for the first time in his career, finishing in 126th place. He was in a good position to qualify until Rose three-putted the 18th hole on Sunday to make bogey.

As a result of Rose's score, Chesson Hadley moved up to 125th place after sinking the first ace of his career during the final round Sunday.

Rickie Fowler needed a strong outing at the Wyndham Championship to climb the rankings, but he missed the cut and didn't qualify while finishing in 134th place.

Tommy Fleetwood tied for 65th at 1-under in North Carolina, leaving him in 137th place. Charles Howell III also missed the playoffs for the first time in his career, sitting at 139th place.

Some of the other notables who didn't qualify include Rory Sabbatini and Francesco Molinari.

The playoffs kick off Aug. 19 with The Northern Trust, and the field will be cut to the top-70 ranked golfers before the BMW Championship. The top 30 then advance to the final TOUR Championship.
