This year's field is highlighted by the pairing of World No. 2 Collin Morikawa and World No. 5 Viktor Hovland who are paired together for the first time.

Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay return after first playing together in 2021, as will defending champions Leishman and Smith. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will be joined by Ryan Palmer, who won the event with former No. 1 Jon Rahm in 2019.

European stars Tommy Fleetwood and Sergio Garcia will return as a pair after finishing runners-up in 2019 to Palmer and Rahm.

Rahm, currently ranked No. 3, is the only player inside the top six not in the field this week. World No. 11 Burns, who's from Louisiana, will team up with two-time Zurich Classic winner Horschel for the second straight year.
