Brooks Koepka defeated teammate Peter Uihlein on the third playoff hole Sunday at Royal Greens Golf and Country Club to win LIV Golf's Jeddah event.

Uihlein hit his third shot into the water after landing in the bunker and then failed to hole his chip from the drop area to save par. Koepka found the bottom of the cup on his fourth shot at the par-5 18th for birdie and the win.

Koepka, who's battled injuries over the past few years, secured his first professional win in over a year.

"I wasn't sure whether I could even move the same way and ... move the way I wanted," the 32-year-old said of his most recent knee injury, according to ASAP Sports. "I'm fortunate to be in the spot that I'm in right now."

Joaquin Niemann and Sergio Garcia both finished one stroke back at 11-under, narrowly missing the playoff in the final individual competition of the inaugural LIV Golf season.

Koepka's Smash GC - which featured Uihlein, Chase Koepka, and Jason Kokrak - took the team title by six strokes over Garcia's Fireballs GC. Chase finished at 7-under while Kokrak finished at 5-under.

Koepka earned $4 million for the individual win, while Smash GC claimed an additional $3 million for the team title.

Dustin Johnson previously locked up the season's individual title following the Bangkok event, winning $18 million.

LIV Golf now heads to Miami for its final event of the season - the team championship at the Blue Monster at Trump National Doral Miami from Oct. 28-30. It will have a total purse of $50 million, with $16 million going to the first-place team.
