Block emotional after earning spot in 2024 PGA Championship
Michael Block was overcome with emotion after the 46-year-old club pro tied for 15th in the PGA Championship on Sunday to earn an invite to the 2024 event.
"Cheers to the 29,000 PGA Professionals, this is for you guys."

Block shot a 1-over 71 on Sunday at the same score for the tournament. He tied Englishman Tyrrell Hatton and American Eric Cole for 15th.
The highlight of the day for Block - and arguably for the tourney as a whole, aside from Brooks Koepka earning his fifth major victory - was when Block dunked a hole-in-one on No. 15.

It was the first ace at the PGA Championship since Byeong Hun An drained one on No. 11 in the final round of the 2020 event.
Here's how his home club, Arroyo Trabuco in Mission Viejo, California, reacted to the hole-in-one:
Block, a golf instructor who teaches at the public course, became the first PGA pro to finish inside the top 40 since Steve Schneiter in 2005.
Koepka and Block embraced after the final round Sunday, and the former World No. 1 playfully said he heard Block was buying drinks.

After the second round Friday, Block said he'd "have lunch and an IPA after watching the coverage on TV."
He was paired with Rory McIlroy on Sunday. Block had a priceless reaction upon finding that out.
Block had a remarkably consistent tournament, shooting even par in each of the first three rounds before going 1-over Sunday.
He has since accepted invitations to play at next week's Charles Schwab Challenge in Forth Worth, Texas, and the RBC Canadian Open in Toronto in June.
