Hovland wins FedEx Cup crown with 5-shot victory at East Lake
Viktor Hovland fired a final-round 63 to win the PGA TOUR Championship by five strokes over Xander Schauffele.
With the win at 27-under overall, Hovland also took home $18 million as this season's FedEx Cup champion.
Wyndham Clark ended the tournament in third place at 16-under, while 2022 champion Rory McIlroy finished fourth at 14-under.

"It's just pretty surreal to be standing here right now, playing basically my best golf the last two weeks," Hovland said. "It couldn't have happened at a better moment."
Hovland sat atop the TOUR Championship leaderboard after each of the four rounds and was tied with Collin Morikawa following Friday's action. However, Hovland separated himself from the rest of the field by shooting a 4-under 66 on Saturday to open up a six-shot lead.
Schauffele made eight birdies Sunday to challenge. But Hovland enjoyed a bogey-free round, holding strong with a birdie in each of his final three holes to help secure the victory.
"(Hovland) played great. I didn't do enough," Schauffele said, according to analyst Ron Mintz. "I thought 62 would have let me get close to him, but I think the closest I got to was three shots back. He played unbelievably well. He made important putts and he's just played like a champ."
One of Hovland's best moments on the day came on No. 14, when he made a clutch par save and celebrated with a huge fist pump.
"I was very happy that I didn't make bogey. ... When that putt went in, that was just huge for momentum," he said. "(A two-shot lead) with four holes to go is a lot different than three shots. ... After that, I just really relaxed."
The 25-year-old Norwegian's triumph at East Lake Golf Club is his second victory within the span of a week. He took the BMW Championship by two strokes over Scottie Scheffler and Matt Fitzpatrick last Sunday.
Hovland became the fourth player in history to win the BMW Championship and FedEx Cup in the same season, joining Tiger Woods (2007, 2009), Billy Horschel (2014), and Patrick Cantlay (2021).
The victory marked his sixth career win on the PGA TOUR.
