The Australian drew even with Bhatia after making a birdie on the 17th hole.
This is Davis' second victory on the PGA TOUR. He won the 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic in a playoff over Troy Merritt and Joaquin Niemann. Davis is the event's first two-time winner.
Place | Player | Total to par | Round 4 score |
---|---|---|---|

T-2 | Davis Thompson | -17 | 68 |

Davis had finished his last six tournaments outside of the top 35 and revealed he started going to a hypnotherapist a few weeks ago to help him change his mindset.
"I don't know what to say," an emotional Davis said. "From where I was a couple of weeks ago to today, just a completely different person.
"I wouldn't wish what happened to Akshay on anyone, but I've done a lot of grinding to kind of get myself out of a hole. To just all of a sudden do that, that's pretty good."
Bhatia, meanwhile, was pursuing his second victory of the season after he won the Valero Texas Open in April.
