Bryson DeChambeau doesn't seem thrilled about LIV Golf's decision to move from 54- to 72-hole events heading into its fifth season.

"I've got a contract for this year, and we'll go through it there and see what happens after that," he told Ben Parsons and Alex Perry of Today's Golfer. "Look, it's 72 holes, it's changed, but we're still excited to play professionally and play for what we're doing and go across the world. I think it's going to be great for our team. Is it what we ultimately signed up for? No. So I think we're supposed to be different, so I'm a little indifferent to it right now.

"Hopefully it weighs positively on me over the course of time, but you never know. I'm not sure. We didn't sign up to play for 72."

LIV announced earlier this offseason it would move to 72 holes in an effort to boost its chances of earning World Ranking points. However, 54-hole events without cuts were one of the breakaway circuit's main selling points when it began luring PGA TOUR players in 2022.

DeChambeau was offered an opportunity to return to the PGA TOUR this season through the Returning Member Program but chose to honor his LIV Golf contract. Jon Rahm and Cameron Smith did the same, while Brooks Koepka and Patrick Reed opted to return to the TOUR.

LIV Golf begins its season this week at Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia.
