The Masters: Bubba Watson triumphant at Augusta, wins 2nd green jacket
Bending, but never breaking, (Mister) Bubba Watson captured his second green jacket in three years, shooting a 3-under 71 Sunday to fill out the winning scorecard at Augusta National Golf Club's 78th Masters Tournament.
Paired with 20-year-old Jordan Spieth, Watson finally relinquished his share of the lead after four holes, but recovered from a tough start by posting five final-round birdies and finishing the tournament at 8-under.
While Watson's play left little doubt, he was assisted by some disappointing performances by those in contention. Spieth struggled in the final pairing, while Matt Kuchar, Rickie Fowler, and Lee Westwood failed to break par.
Nearly wire-to-wire, blubbering Bubba did it again.
