Sergio Garcia got into some trouble on the ninth hole at TPC Sawgrass on Thursday afternoon after his approach shot landed in the gallery. After a fan missed stepping on his ball by a toe, he would need relief off the building and take a drop.
He took a drop, and then he took two more. His ball landed in a divot surrounded by mud.

After dropping three times, Garcia asked for relief once again and was given it by the grounds marshal. He would drop twice more with the ball running downhill and onto the concrete path.
The marshal had to point out a spot for him where he finally took his third shot and ended up shy of the green, making a mess of his final hole of the day, but he did save par to finish with a first-round 67.
