Ah, the British Open. Historic and proper, organized by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club. It is a classy affair, a celebration of the history of links golf with all the trimmings of the way the game was born. 

For the players, it's an opportunity to pay respects to the royalty of the sport. Unless, of course, you're John Daly, who chose to wear pants with Spongebob Squarepants on them Wednesday. 

He's not exactly Payne Stewart out there, but style points must be given for the matching pink shoes to complete the look.
