In a segment on NBC, various U.S. Ryder Cup team members were asked how old they were and what they were doing in September 1993.
Why? That was the last year the U.S. won a Ryder Cup in Europe.
Hunter Mahan was 11, Bubba Watson was 14 and Jim Furyk was "one year out of college." Matt Kuchar was "a freshman in high school, maybe" while Jordan Spieth was two months old.
And then there is Rickie Fowler, who took a few moments to make the calculations:
"I started playing junior tournaments that summer, I was four-and-a-half," he said.
The Ryder Cup is definitely a diverse tournament.
