Tiger Watch, Round 2: Woods exceeds expectations with 3-under 69

Tiger roar?
Woods shot a 3-under 69 on Friday, dipping below par early in his round and maintaining fine form throughout to put himself within striking distance of the leaderboard heading into the weekend.
He finished just three shots out of third at 2-under, but remains well back of the utterly unconscious Jordan Spieth, who set the Masters' 36-hole record at a stupendous 14-under.
Woods entered the clubhouse in a tie for 13th.
Though he's a considerable long shot to capture a fifth green jacket, his performance has to be considered a success. Not only has he played well in his first tournament appearance in two months, but he seems to be playing pain-free.
Six shots clear of the projected cut, we'll see Tiger Woods on Sunday at the Masters once again.
Awesome.
