Rory McIlroy would not go down without a fight. The world No. 1 shot 3-under for his front nine, looking to hunt down the four leaders who started their days at 4-under for the tournament.

After a ridiculous 72-foot birdie putt dropped on 13, McIlroy swooned slightly, bogeying two of his final four holes. He got back to even on the tournament and likely gave the leaders a scare - he was 6-under through 13 - but ultimately, his efforts will come up short.

It's now on to the British Open at St. Andrews in July for Rory, where he will be one of the favorites to win.
