USA's Harvey earns women's hockey MVP, Poulin makes All-Star team

United States defender Caroline Harvey was named most valuable player of the women's Olympic hockey tournament in Milan Cortina, the IIHF announced Thursday, following the USA's gold-medal triumph over Canada.

Harvey tied teammate Megan Keller for the tournament lead in scoring with nine points in seven games. Harvey was also named the top defender and earned a spot on the media All-Star team.

Brandli played a pivotal role in helping Switzerland win bronze, posting a .952 save percentage and a 1.94 goals-against average. Despite missing two round-robin contests due to injury, Poulin scored three goals in five appearances, including two in Canada's semifinal win.

The United States won gold for the third time since women's hockey was added to the Olympics in 1998, outscoring opponents 33-2 en route to the title.
