Brooks Koepka is doing his part to combat the spread of the coronavirus.

The world's No. 3-ranked golfer pledged to pay $100,000 from his charity to the COVID-19 relief efforts of the Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties in Florida.

Koepka shared his commitment Thursday night on Twitter, including a video message explaining the money will go to local communities affected by the pandemic.

Koepka is believed to be the first golfer to donate to the cause.

NBA players Devin Booker and Karl-Anthony Towns each recently pledged the same amount as Koepka. Booker is supporting the relief efforts of various non-profit organizations, while Towns is putting the funds toward improving testing capabilities and increasing availability at the Mayo Clinic.
