Nick Offerman, Mary-Louise Parker cast as parents in Kaepernick series
Nick Offerman and Mary-Louise Parker have joined the cast of the upcoming Netflix series about Colin Kaepernick, "Colin in Black and White."
Offerman and Parker will portray Rick and Teresa Kaepernick, the adoptive parents of the former NFL quarterback, in the six-episode series, according to The Hollywood Reporter's Rick Porter. Offerman is best known for his role as Ron Swanson in the television series "Parks and Recreation," while Parker's acting credits include "Weeds" and "Mr. Mercedes."

"Colin in Black and White" will explore Kaepernick's adolescent years and the experiences that led him to become the activist he is today. Actor Jaden Michael was previously announced for the role of young Kaepernick.
