While Tom Brady's departure undoubtedly stung for a lot of New England Patriots fans, a new study has found that they are among the most loyal when it comes to losing key players.

A survey of over 1,000 NFL fans by Bookies.com showed that Patriots fans are the second-least likely fanbase to stop supporting their team following a star's exit, finishing only behind Dallas Cowboys supporters.

On the other end of the spectrum, Indianapolis Colts fans were the most likely to stop supporting their team after losing a star player, followed by Cincinnati Bengals supporters.

Other findings from the study:

  • A majority of Patriots fans (65%) said they support Brady on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • More than half of the fans surveyed (56.1%) remain supportive of a star player after they move to another franchise
