The Green Bay Packers released linebacker Jaylon Smith, the team announced Tuesday.

The former Pro Bowler will once again be looking for a new team after being released for the second time this season.

Smith signed a one-year deal with Green Bay after being cut by the Dallas Cowboys in October. Dallas opted to release Smith despite owing him the remainder of his $7.2-million salary.

The 26-year-old tallied one tackle in two games with the Packers, playing just 27 snaps. He was a healthy scratch for the club's 24-21 win over the Cardinals in Week 8.

Smith fell out of the inside linebacker rotation in favor of Krys Barnes and De'Vondre Campbell. Oren Burks has also gotten more playing time.

Green Bay freed up a roster spot with the move prior to the 4 p.m. ET trade deadline.

The Packers also released long snapper Hunter Bradley and signed Steven Wirtel to replace him on the active roster.
