The Philadelphia Phillies are open to trading one of the biggest names on their roster in outfielder Nick Castellanos, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.

Castellanos' streakiness in the playoffs and poor performance in the National League Championship Series, in which he was 1-for-24 against the Arizona Diamondbacks, could lead to a deal, Feinsand adds.

The 31-year-old Castellanos was an All-Star for the Phillies in 2023 while hitting .272/.311/.476 with 29 home runs, 37 doubles, and 106 RBIs in 157 games. He also tore up the Atlanta Braves' pitching in the NLDS, hitting four homers in four games along with a 1.796 OPS.

The outfielder appeared in 148 regular season games in right field for the Phillies last season. Bryce Harper could return to his original position if the Phillies trade Castellanos, but Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski announced Wednesday the current plan for next season is to keep Harper at first.

Castellanos is due $60 million over the next three seasons after inking a five-year deal with the Phillies before the 2022 campaign.
