Alabama's DeBoer: College Football 25 is helping team learn playbook
College Football 25 is helping Alabama players on the field as well as keeping them entertained off of it.
During an appearance on the "GoJo and Golic" show Tuesday, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer said his players are using the new EA Sports video game to learn the team's playbook.
"We had some plays we've run and some of them, you know, they know the read progression and you're, like, wondering how they know that," DeBoer said. "So I guess there is an element to where it's a positive too, right? Things that they do away from the facility, especially in the end of the summer when it first came out, I know they were all in. I'm sure there's a lot more being played than what I realize even at this point, too."
College Football 25 launched in July, marking EA Sports' first college football video game release since NCAA Football 14 in 2013.
Alabama will open its season Aug. 31 at home against Western Kentucky.
