Chicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr. is searching for light at the end of the tunnel amid a career-worst stretch.

"It's frustrating, so frustrating that sometimes you think, 'I'm quitting.' But, of course, you won't. You just have to keep working," Robert told MLB.com's Scott Merkin after Tuesday's loss to the New York Yankees.

Robert, who crushed 38 home runs in an All-Star campaign last season, entered Wednesday as the owner of a dismal .199/.262/.394 slash line across 64 games with Chicago this year.

The 26-year-old has struck out in 37% of his plate appearances.

"Sometimes you are doing everything right, you are doing all your work," he added. "It's just a matter of you can't put everything together during the game. Your confidence will start to kind of go down a little bit."

Robert has a career .802 OPS across five MLB seasons.

Chicago entered Wednesday with a 29-92 record, on pace for one of the worst records in MLB history.
