Spike Lee, Jack Nicholson among NBA superfans entering Hall of Fame
Academy Award-winning director Spike Lee and legendary actor Jack Nicholson are headed to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Lee and Nicholson were announced Friday as the latest additions to the Hall of Fame's James F. Goldstein SuperFan Gallery along with actor Billy Crystal and real estate mogul Alan Horwitz. The quartet will be honored during a ceremony on Oct. 13 as part of the Hall of Fame's enshrinement weekend festivities.
Lee is a longtime supporter and season-ticket holder of the New York Knicks who can often be seen trash-talking opposing players from his courtside seat.
Nicholson has been a courtside regular at Los Angeles Lakers games for decades, having purchased season tickets back in 1970. He's attended games less frequently in recent years but was on hand to watch the Lakers' playoff run last season.

Crystal is a big fan of the Los Angeles Clippers, while Horwitz is known as the "sixth man" of the Philadelphia 76ers.
NBA superfans previously honored by the Hall of Fame include Jim Goldstein, Penny Marshall, and Nav Bhatia.
