New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo was removed from Monday's 9-0 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the ninth inning after he was seen limping throughout the contest, and he revealed after the game that he's been dealing with plantar fasciitis in his left foot since May.

"Right now it hurts pretty good," Nimmo said, according to The Athletic's Tim Britton.

"The second-to-last game against Philadelphia, I did something on the field and made it quite a bit worse. … When it gets inflamed and flares up, it's a harder thing to calm down."

Nimmo added the injury doesn't bother him when he hits or throws from the outfield, but any type of running is painful.

"I think when I really need it, I'm probably not 100%, but I can get going pretty good," he said. "But it’s uncomfortable."

The outfielder said he's "good to go" for Monday's game despite the injury, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo.

Nimmo has been a big part of New York's success. He tallied 23 home runs and 90 RBIs during the regular season, and he's added another homer and four RBIs during the playoffs.
