Four-star guard Kiyan Anthony, the son of former NBA forward Carmelo, announced his commitment to his father's alma mater Syracuse on Friday.

The younger Anthony chose the Orange over USC. The No. 36-ranked prospect in the 2025 class also received offers from Florida State, Ohio State, and Rutgers. Anthony is the top prospect in the state of New York.

The elder Anthony played one season at Syracuse, leading the program to a national championship and winning Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four in 2003. He then became a 10-time All-Star over 19 NBA seasons.

Syracuse's 2025 recruiting class also includes five-star forward Sadiq White.

The Orange went 20-12 last campaign in Adrian Autry's first season as head coach. Syracuse has won its first two games of this campaign, with hopes of returning to March Madness for the first time since 2021.
