Michigan cornerback Will Johnson announced Wednesday that he's forgoing his senior year to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Johnson established himself as one of the top defensive backs in the country over three seasons with the Wolverines. He was named the team's Freshman of the Year following the 2022 campaign, during which he tallied 27 tackles, three interceptions, and two tackles for loss.

As a sophomore, the Detroit native recorded four INTs, including one returned for a touchdown, en route to helping Michigan win a national title. He was named a 2023 first-team All-American for his efforts that year.

Johnson was limited to just six games with the Wolverines this season after suffering a toe injury. He recorded two pick-6s before being sidelined for most of the second half of the campaign.

Johnson leaves the Wolverines with nine career INTs and three pick-6s.

The 6-foot-2, 202-pound cornerback is considered one of the top draft-eligible defensive backs alongside Colorado's two-way star Travis Hunter.
