Bernhard Langer and 24-year-old son Jason Langer beat Tiger and Charlie Woods in a playoff to win the PNC Championship on Sunday.

Bernhard made eagle on the first playoff hole to clinch the win.

This is the duo's second consecutive victory at the event and fourth overall (2014, 2019, 2023, 2024). Bernhard, 67, also won the Del Webb Father/Son Challenge with his son, Stefan, in both 2005 and '06.

"I've said a long time ago that this is the fifth major for me because I love this tournament," Bernhard said, per Golf Channel. "I just love playing with my kids ... Whether I win or not, it's always a great time."

Team Langer carded 13 birdies and one eagle for a sparkling 57 before the playoff.

Tiger was in pursuit of his 83rd PGA TOUR victory to surpass Sam Snead for sole possession of first place on the all-time wins list. The 15-time major winner's last title came at the 2019 Zozo Championship.

Though the Langers were the victors, Team Woods provided plenty of excitement Sunday, with the 15-year-old Charlie bagging his first-ever ace on the fourth hole.

"It was awesome," Charlie said. "No one made a mistake today. So that was the most fun I've ever had, and on top of that, I made an ace. I don't think I can top that."

Tiger and Charlie shared an embrace after the electric moment.

"That's one of the (best) highlights that we've ever had," Tiger said. "We were talking about it earlier, on the hole previous, he made his first eagle, right? And now he just made his first hole-in-one. It was a magical two-hole stretch.

"I'm just so happy for him and for the enjoyment we had as a family. To be out there with Bernie and Jason, it was a lot of fun."

Tiger underwent his sixth back surgery in September, which forced him to pull out of last month's Hero World Challenge, the event he hosts annually in the Bahamas.

He only made five appearances last season: the Genesis Invitational and the four majors. Tiger had to withdraw from the Genesis due to illness, and he missed the cut in all other tournaments except for the Masters, where he finished 60th.

The 48-year-old walked all 36 holes at the PNC Championship and hit some clutch shots, but he maintained that he's far from tip-top form.

"I'm nowhere near competitive shape. I'm a great scramble partner," Tiger said with a laugh. "We made a great team this week, and that's the whole joy of it."

Team Woods may have fallen short this time, but Bernhard is confident the pair's time at the PNC Championship will come.

"I know most of you would have loved to have Tiger here, and Charlie. I know, I know," a smiling Bernhard said as the crowd cheered. "I'm convinced they're going to win this several times in the near future. They're just too good.

"I mean, Charlie bombs it, and he's got the whole game. He putts great, and we know what Tiger can do. So it won't take them long, I promise you that. But we're thrilled to be here."
