Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. said the team's front office reached out to him to say that his name hasn't been involved in any serious trade talks.

"They've reached out to me and said it's all noise," Porter said Monday, according to DNVR Nuggets. "There's nothing serious going on. If there was, they would let me know. They've said they love how I'm playing and to keep being aggressive, and they have no desire to move me right now. But I also know they wouldn't tell me if they wanted to move me."

He was reportedly likely to be included in a package if the Nuggets decided to trade for Chicago Bulls wing Zach LaVine. Any potential Denver deal for a star player would likely include Porter, as his contract has two years remaining after this season at $38.3 million and $40.8 million.

Nuggets head coach Michael Malone said he believes there's "nothing to" the trade rumors involving the team, according to Ryan Blackburn of Mile High Sports.

The 26-year-old Porter ranks third on the team in scoring, averaging 18.3 points on 51.8% shooting from the field along with 6.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists.

Denver ranks fifth in the Western Conference with a 16-11 record. The Nuggets face the Phoenix Suns on Christmas Day.
