Running back Aaron Jones wants to finish his NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings.

"Honestly, this is an excellent place," Jones said, according to ESPN's Kevin Seibert. "I hope to be here until the end of my career."

Jones signed a one-year, $7-million deal with the Vikings this offseason and is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in 2025. He spent the first seven years of his career with the Green Bay Packers and was released in March after refusing to take a pay cut.

Jones has helped turn around a Vikings ground attack that ranked 29th in rushing yards per game in 2023. The improved rushing game has contributed to Minnesota's offense sitting ninth in points per game and 10th in success rate this year.

The 30-year-old is having one of the best years of his career, suiting up in every contest while racking up 1,093 rushing yards on a career-high 245 attempts with seven total touchdowns. He's also posted 46 receptions for receiving 378 yards.

"Last year, I missed a handful of games and played through injury as well," Jones said. "With that, I guess the narrative got out that, 'He's injury-prone and constantly injured."

He added: "I'm letting guys know that whatever I go through throughout the week, or in that game, I'm going to be ready the following Sunday."

Minnesota will face off against the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football. The winning team will secure the NFC North title and the top seed in the conference.
