The Texas Rangers traded reliever Grant Anderson to the Milwaukee Brewers for pitching prospect Mason Molina, the clubs announced Thursday.
Anderson struggled to an 8.10 ERA and 1.61 WHIP in 23 appearances for the Rangers last season. He allowed 24 earned runs and 11 home runs in 26 2/3 innings while striking out 29 batters.
The 27-year-old fared better at Triple-A Round Rock, recording a 3.93 ERA and 1.30 WHIP in 26 games.
Milwaukee drafted Molina in the seventh round in 2024 out of the University of Arkansas. The lefty pitched five scoreless innings with the Carolina Mudcats, the club's Single-A affiliate.
The Brewers designated pitcher Tyler Jay for assignment in a corresponding move.
