Minnesota Wild defenseman Brock Faber was ruled out of Tuesday's 6-4 victory against the St. Louis Blues due to an upper-body injury.

Faber's last shift came midway through the opening frame.

Wild head coach John Hynes didn't have an update on Faber after the game.

Faber lined up on the right side of Minnesota's top pairing Tuesday night. The 22-year-old is an integral piece of the team's defensive corps and was the runner-up for the Calder Trophy last season. He has 20 points in 40 games this season and ranks fourth among all players with 25:29 of ice time per contest.

He hasn't missed a game in professional career and played a portion of last season with broken ribs.

The Wild are currently dealing with injuries to star forward Kirill Kaprizov and captain Jared Spurgeon.
