Sammy Sosa and Derrek Lee will be inducted into the Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame this summer, according to Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune.

Sosa admitted to making mistakes during his playing career in December, helping to mend relations with the Cubs.

The former slugger was the subject of PED allegations but never publicly admitted to taking banned substances, leading to a frosty relationship with the team.

"People grow up," Sosa said Friday, per ESPN's Jesse Rogers. "That's what happened to me. To give that statement out, it was the right time for me. The response right away was incredible."

Sosa played in Chicago from 1992-2004, hitting 545 home runs en route to becoming a seven-time All-Star and the 1998 NL MVP.

Lee wore a Cubs uniform for seven seasons, posting a .903 OPS with 179 home runs and 574 RBIs. His best season came in 2005 when he finished third in NL MVP voting after hitting 46 home runs with 50 doubles and 107 RBIs.
