The Dallas Stars inked forward Sam Steel to a two-year contract extension with a $2.1-million average annual value, the club announced Friday.

Steel has a $1.2-million cap hit this season, per PuckPedia.

The 27-year-old has four goals and 13 assists while averaging 14:45 of ice time over 54 games in 2024-25.

He's in his second campaign and second one-year pact with the Stars, who re-signed him July 1.

Steel spent 2022-23 with the Minnesota Wild, setting career highs in goals (10), assists (18), and points. Before that, he played four seasons with the Anaheim Ducks, who drafted him 30th overall in 2016.
