The Seattle Seahawks are re-signing linebacker Ernest Jones IV to a three-year, $33-million contract, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Jones' new agreement includes $15 million guaranteed, Rapoport adds.
The 25-year-old was acquired in an October trade with the Tennessee Titans for Jerome Baker. Jones recorded 44 tackles, including three tackles for loss, in six games with the Seahawks last season.
Off-ball linebackers are cashing in ahead of free agency this offseason. Zack Baun and Nick Bolton are among other defenders who were set to hit the open market before striking new deals.
Jones becomes the latest member of Seattle's defense to ink a new deal after Jarran Reed agreed to terms on a reported three-year, $25-million contract.
