Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin questioned Miami's decision to give Carson Beck a large NIL deal to play for the Hurricanes in 2025.

"Miami gave him $4.3 million? ... Did they watch his game against us?" Kiffin said when The Pivot's Ryan Clark pointed out Beck's reported NIL evaluation.

Kiffin was referring to a game in November in which Beck completed 20 of 31 passes for 186 yards with zero touchdowns and one interception. The Rebels' defense also sacked Beck five times, forcing him into minus-20 rushing yards.

Beck was Georgia's primary starter from 2023-2024. He suited up in 27 contests during that stretch, throwing for 7,426 yards with 52 scores and 18 picks. He suffered a torn UCL late in the 2024 season, cutting his campaign short.

The 22-year-old entered the portal in January and decided to bypass the NFL draft for a sixth college season. He transferred to Miami and is set to replace Cam Ward, the projected No. 1 overall pick in next week's draft.

Beck's $4.3-million NIL deal ranks second among all college football players for the 2025 campaign, behind Texas' Arch Manning, according to On3.

"I don't ever get mad at the kids; it's not their fault. It's the system. Go get it," Kiffin added. "It's a free market with no cap and, in some areas, unlimited boosters."
