Quarterback Jalen Milroe surprised some by accepting an invite to attend the 2025 NFL Draft despite not being viewed as a surefire first-round pick.

However, the Alabama product said appearing at this week's event in Green Bay was an opportunity he couldn't pass up, no matter where he's selected.

"It's not about being drafted in the first round; it's about hearing my name called," Milroe said Thursday during an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio.

Milroe added, "It's a dream come true to be a part of the draft. Despite if I go first round or second round, I'll still be able to experience walking the stage and being here. ... It's just an accomplishment that I'll always cherish forever."

He's one of 15 players attending the draft, including presumptive top pick Cam Ward and two-way star Travis Hunter.

Milroe wasn't selected in the first round in theScore's final mock draft.
