Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Tommy Pham has been suspended one game and fined an undisclosed amount for committing inappropriate actions toward fans during Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Angels.

Pham has elected to appeal the suspension, ESPN's Alden Gonzalez reports.

The veteran was infamously suspended for three games in May 2022 when he was a member of the Cincinnati Reds after slapping then-San Francisco Giants outfielder Joc Pederson in the face after a disagreement regarding the fantasy football league both were involved in.

Pham signed a one-year, $5-million contract with the Pirates in February. The 37-year-old is slashing .184/.267/.224 with seven runs scored, six RBIs, and three stolen bases in 23 games this season.
