Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen won't play in Game 5 against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday and is day-to-day, head coach Rod Brind'Amour announced, according to team reporter Walt Ruff.

Andersen was injured in Game 4 after Devils forward Timo Meier crashed the crease during the second period. He was replaced by Pyotr Kochetkov.

Meier was handed a five-minute major so the referees could review the play, but the penalty was ultimately rescinded.

Andersen's posted a .936 save percentage in the series, helping Carolina claim a 3-1 lead.

Kochetkov stopped 14 of 15 shots in relief in Game 4. He had an .897 save percentage in 47 appearances in the regular season.
