Two-time MVP Steve Nash is joining Amazon Prime Video's NBA studio and game coverage for its inaugural season, according to insider Marc Stein.

Nash reunites with former Dallas Mavericks teammate Dirk Nowitzki, who commented on the news by saying he will "have to carry" Nash once more.

Amazon hired Nowitzki and six-time All-Star Blake Griffin in January. The company is also bringing in Stan Van Gundy as a game analyst, sources told The Athletic's Andrew Marchand.

Nash joined LeBron James as co-host of the "Mind the Game" podcast earlier in April.

The Canadian guard played 18 seasons in the NBA, winning back-to-back MVP trophies in 2005 and 2006. He also reached the All-Star Game on eight occasions, twice with the Mavericks.

Nash and Nowitzki joined Dallas together in 1998. The tandem made the playoffs in four consecutive seasons, reaching the Western Conference finals in 2003. In 2004, Nash went back to the Phoenix Suns, the franchise with which he started his career.

He holds a 94-67 head coaching record after spending a little more than two campaigns with the Brooklyn Nets.

Amazon and the NBA reached an 11-year streaming agreement this past July. Prime Video will broadcast 66 regular-season games as well as NBA Cup and playoff contests in its first year.
