New York Mets outfielder Juan Soto said he hasn't felt added pressure despite having a less-than-stellar beginning to his first year with the team.

"What pressure? I don't have any pressure," Soto said Thursday following New York's 4-2 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks, according to SNY.

He hit his first two home runs at Citi Field as a member of the Mets in the loss.

"These guys have been really clear with me to make me feel comfortable, go on out there and play," Soto said. "I don't have any pressure at all. It's just two homers that weren't enough to get the win, so whatever."

He signed a 15-year, $765-million contract with the Mets in December.

Soto is slashing .252/.379/.443 with five home runs, seven doubles, and 14 RBIs in 32 games. The 26-year-old has only registered an OPS under .900 once during his illustrious eight-year MLB career.
