New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. said Saturday that an MRI revealed three high-grade tears in his right oblique, according to MLB.com's Bryan Hoch.

Chisholm added that he's still hoping to beat the four-to-six week timetable the team gave when he was placed on the injured list ahead of Friday's series opener against the Tampa Bay Rays.

"It's super frustrating," Chisholm said, according to The Associated Press. "I didn't think that was going to happen."

The 27-year-old sustained the injury in the first inning of Tuesday's contest against the Baltimore Orioles.

Jorbit Vivas has started the last two games at second base for the Yankees.

Chisholm was acquired from the Miami Marlins for three prospects last July. He owns a .181 batting average with seven home runs, 17 RBIs, and six stolen bases in 30 games this season.
