The Houston Rockets would be open to trading Alperen Sengun in a move for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, sources told NBC Sports' Kurt Helin.

Sengun, 22, broke through for the Rockets the past two seasons and made his first All-Star appearance in 2024-25. He averaged 19.1 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists across 76 games this campaign.

Antetokounmpo has reportedly grown open to the possibility that his best long-term fit might not be with the Bucks. His agent is expected to discuss his future with Milwaukee's leadership this summer.

The 30-year-old is a two-time MVP, nine-time All-Star, and a member of the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team. He's coming off his second consecutive season averaging 30-plus points and shooting more than 60% from the field.

Antetokounmpo is under contract for at least two more seasons, while Sengun is locked up for four more years.

The Rockets finished as the 2-seed in the West this season but fell in the first round to the Golden State Warriors in seven games. Sengun registered 20.9 points and 11.9 rebounds per game in the series.

Houston's general manager Rafael Stone said nobody on his roster was untouchable after the elimination.

Meanwhile, the Bucks had their worst regular season since 2020-21 with 48 wins. They lost in five games to the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs. Antetokounmpo averaged 33 points, 15.4 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game in the series.
