The Chicago White Sox announced Tuesday they signed veteran pitcher Adrian Houser to a one-year deal worth $1.35 million.

Houser, 32, signed a minor-league contract with the Texas Rangers during the offseason. He was never promoted to the big-league squad and was granted his release from the organization May 15.

The right-hander worked to a 5.84 ERA and 1.53 WHIP across 69 1/3 innings with the New York Mets in 2024 after spending the previous seven seasons of his MLB career with the Milwaukee Brewers.

Hauser's best showing came in 2021 when he recorded a 3.22 ERA (128 ERA+) across a career-high 26 starts.

He owns a 4.21 ERA and 1.38 WHIP across eight MLB seasons.
