Two-time All-Star infielder Jean Segura announced his retirement after 12 MLB seasons.

The Los Angeles Angels signed Segura as an international free agent in 2007 and made his MLB debut for the franchise in 2012.

He was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers after only one game with the Angels in a deal that sent Zack Greinke the other way. Segura spent parts of four seasons with the Brewers, making an All-Star team in 2013.

Segura had the best season of his career in 2016 after he was sent from Milwaukee to the Arizona Diamondbacks. He led the National League with 203 hits, finishing with a .319 average and .867 OPS in 153 games.

Segura also made stops with the Seattle Mariners, Philadelphia Phillies, and Miami Marlins. His last MLB appearance came in 2023.

The 35-year-old finishes his career with a .281 average, 1,545 hits, 110 home runs, 513 RBIs, and 211 stolen bases in 1,413 games.
