The Philadelphia Flyers agreed to a one-year, $5.4-million contract with free-agent center Christian Dvorak, the team announced Tuesday.

Dvorak's spent the past four seasons with the Montreal Canadiens. He collected 12 goals and 21 assists while playing all 82 games last season. The veteran center has won over 50% of his faceoffs in each of his last eight campaigns.

This summer's center market is thin, but Dvorak presents the Flyers a middle-six option as they continue their rebuild. Philadelphia also brought in Trevor Zegras recently to help down the middle.

Dvorak was a second-round pick of the Arizona Coyotes in 2014. He's managed 249 points in 534 career games.
