Twins trade Stewart to Dodgers for Outman

The Minnesota Twins traded right-hander Brock Stewart to the Los Angeles Dodgers for outfielder James Outman, the teams announced Thursday.

Stewart owns a 2.38 ERA and 10.9 K/9 in 39 appearances for the Twins this season. He also ranks in the 89th percentile or higher in several pitching categories.

The 33-year-old will join a Dodgers bullpen that has five key relievers sidelined.

Stewart pitched for Los Angeles between 2016 and 2019 after the team selected him in the sixth round of the 2014 draft.

The 28-year-old Outman finished third in NL Rookie of the Year voting in 2023 after hitting 23 homers and posting a .790 OPS. He's appeared in 22 games this season, hitting .103/.205/.282 with two homers and four RBIs.
